Medical Assistants Vs Nurses

I want to be able to draw blood, give shots, take vital signs make good money and work in the pediatric department or clinic. So should i be a medical assistant or practical nurse??

If you want to make good money doing those things you should be an RN. Medical Assistants do a lot, but make only a dollar or two more than minimum wage. An LPN makes only a few more dollars than a Medical Assistant – I’d give you numbers but it varies on the area you live in. Finding and LPN job in Peds is very hard, most hospitals don’t staff many LPN’s, your most likely to find a job in a nursing home. An RN makes a lot more money than this and there are tons of job opportunities, and specialties to go into, plus there is room for advancement. So if you can find a RN nursing program and go to school for that.
